About the Press
The UFTM University Press is the body responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and disseminating the institution's editorial activities. Its core mission is to foster access to information and knowledge through the publication and dissemination of works of excellence, the UFTM University Press works to consolidate itself as an important channel for academic production at UFTM and other institutions, covering the most diverse fields of knowledge. Guided by the principles of editorial quality, plurality of ideas, and commitment to the dissemination of knowledge, the Press seeks to contribute to scientific, cultural, and social development, and plays a fundamental role in the academic landscape, by providing a platform for the publication of research, studies, and reflections. The Press's catalog reflects the diversity and quality of the intellectual production it publishes, while also celebrating its trajectory and highlighting its relevance to the community.
Open Access
The UFTM University Press is committed to open access publishing, making most of its works available free of charge on its portal or on other platforms and also distributing printed editions to libraries across the country.
Copyright
The UFTM University Press upholds a clear policy of respect for the copyright of its authors and other collaborators, at any stage of its editorial process, advocates for the respect and integrity of research, not accepting, under any circumstances, the inclusion of unauthorized/unlicensed works. Furthermore, all books published by the UFTM University Press, including the digital ones, are deposited in the National Library.
Licenses
The UFTM University Press uses Creative Commons for its open access publications. Our books are published under CC BY-NC-ND. Thus, everyone is free to share and redistribute our publications, under the following requirements:
- Attribution: appropriate credit is given to author(s);
- Non-Commercial: the publications, in whole or in part, are not used for commercial purposes;
- No Derivatives: the works, if transformed, are not distributed.
Publication Fees
The UFTM University Press does not charge any publication fee. The submission, peer review, editing, and publication process is completely free of charge (Diamond Open Access). We do not apply any Book Processing Charges (BPCs), meaning the entire process is funded by the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro, reinforcing our commitment to unrestricted access to knowledge and support for the academic community.
